They say a lot of lives were saved being they were 3 blocks away from the Level 1 trauma center. They were getting truckloads and ambulance loads of patients at once, on top of 6 separate gunshot victims they were already treating. You train for this, but it never really prepares you for something like this. Next time people bring up the militarization of police.......

Thanks for the video, Mike. Next best thing to being there. Kicking myself for not going though.

One of the nicest ladder trucks out there. A 2014 Seagrave Marauder II 100' Rearmount. Nice and simple. Wakefield, MA is located just outside of Boston.

Listen, personal attacks on each other on this thread need to stop now. They're not a catalyst for a good discussion. Although what people say to each other is beyond my control, further type comments will be deleted.

This thought is based on different systems I have worked in. When a working fire is confirmed, when should cause and origin be dispatched? And, should they respond "Code 3"? I've always been taught they should be dispatched on the initial (structure fire) response. This allows for maximum evidence preservation, and a better "view" for investigators. Some departments, for example such as Yonkers, dispatches an investigator on the initial confirmed working structure fire assignment. Yet, I note other departments in the past have had in their pre-planned assignments that cause and origin investigators get dispatched on request, most often towards the end of the incident. Your thoughts?
