Going back up into the EMTBravo digital attic, here is a page dating back to 2004 showing some of the feature photos we had posted on EMTBravo.com, and it's pretty cool. Hope you guys enjoy this new "From The EMTBravo Attic" features. Feature Photos 2004-Click Here Sadly, a lot of those photographers, who were active members, are no longer are interested in the hobby, moved on, or haven't submitted anything recently. I really think we need to get the Feature Photos going again!

So, out of no where this show about snow plow drivers on a brutal winter road in Utah comes on the Discovery channel after "Swamp Loggers", apprently it's going to follow the Utah DOT plow drivers as they try to keep the roads clean and sander, while the avalance crews try to track and prevent avalanches. http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/snow-men/

Those episodes, according to my Time Warner DVR and Discovery channel website, have been replaced by "Nature Attacks" and "Storm Chasers"
-
And all of a sudden, Discovery pulls it completly from it's line up, only hours before it's set to air it's second episode. No explanation or notice to the fans. Instead, they are airing "Wreck Chasers", the show that highlights the skells of the towing industry, and damaged the reputation of the towing industry that the show "Wrecked" built. Well, then again, that freak family on Discovery Channel's sister network TLC with 19 kids who are now having a secons grandchild or the show that the guy has four wivees, or the little people who make chocolate, are more important priorities to them. Ir seems Discovery is all about exploiting people for ratings, with the exception of a couple of shows. They better bring it back!

Joe, We were very lucky to have you on staff, and you'll be missed. I hope you will continue as a member of this forum, as you've shared a lot of knowledge and photos, and hope to see you around here as your time permits. Thanks again for all you help. Seth Granville

Interesting article, especially for us that work shifts. http://news.yahoo.com/s/theweek/20101111/cm_theweek/209165

I'm both...especially now, lol. I find myself very productive when I either work late into the night or get up very early in the AM. If I don't do either, I just procrastinate until I get up early or can stay up late.

Are these cool, or just a rip off to make money? I constantly see their ad on Facebook, while I think it's pretty cool, a part of me feels like it's kind of misrepresented and just a product posing for a way to make money. I mean, I've never needed 24' of paracord in an emergency situation before, lol. What do you guys think? http://www.survivalstraps.com/

Who did the recovery? Must have been a tough job! Thanks for sharing the pics!

I've always wondered, how come you see, on reality TV shows mostly, a suspect that the Police Officer is going to transport to jail sit in the front passenger seat? I always assumed that it was so the camera crew could sit in back, but isn't having the suspect in the front seat in a non cage car a safety hazard? And then I just read something where, in some agencies, it's common practice. Even for a cooperative subject, how can this be safe?
-
I just saw the New Rochelle 2011 Budget proposal. It's vague, but calls for cutting 20 police and fire positions. Is that going to mean threatened layoffs (again), closing a company, just not filling vacancies, or nothing?
-
Again, I'm probaly out of the loop, but I recall a few years ago Mamaroneck Village retired the Seagrave Ladder 20, and was looking for a replacement. Did they ever replace it?
-
Thanks for the article! That newspaper is really on top of things in the Village! I wonder if Smeal was considered due to their jacking capability on inclines (like Yonkers). I guess only time will tell.
-
I hope this goes better for them then the Riverside Engine bid, and the Village has learned to stay out of the FD's business.
-
Still? If you want to make a test post and then try and delete it in thids thread for me please. :-)
-
I went ahead and manually deleted those posts. What error message did it give you while trying to do so?

Here is the rule: http://www.emtbravo.net/index.php?showtopic=38017 A seperate thread has been split into the Westchester section for discussion

These issues should now be resolved. If those affected could check and advise, it would be appreciated. (make test post in this thread if you wish)
