EMTBravo Spy Shots-Special thanks to our spies! Yonkers PD's newest patrol car, a 2012 Chevrolet Caprice Police Package, featuring a new paint scheme. Another neat feature.....the plate readers are built into the lightbar.

If the show were technically acurate, no one would watch. Who wants to watch firefighters going on EMS calls, or going to endless automatic alarms, or shopping for a meal? I liked it. I'm going to give it some time before shutting it down. The pilot to any show is always weird. I also thought it was cool that the actual mayor of Chicago made an appearance. Also, did anyone else notice how the SCBA masks were modified so we could see their faces? I already have a photo (in reality, it's Chicago FD Station 18, the newest station in the city. ):

Awesome! This is the engine that was built to replace R-35 after it was detroyed by an electrical fire? It looks very similar, except they are using Engine 266 instead of R-35.

I like Braun, I feel they are really innovative and progressive. Braun always has features that make them distinct and unique, and you know it's a Braun.Things like their sliding side door, bowed roof, and ample patient compartment lighting are some of them. They were really popular in Westchester in the late 1990's, but you don't see them around much anymore. I think a lot of that has to do with the dealer support at the time. Greenburgh and Port Chester are still loyal users though. And major cities, such as Boston and Chicago, are current Braun customers. I've seen photos of Braun modules in a collision and know of a couple, and they hold up decent, IMO. About par with other manufacturers. I really loved the Braun "slopeside", that model was really laid out well. They don't make that model anymore, but I hear good things about the Signature series. I have tons of photos of various Braun ambulances, let me know if you need any.

Wow...now that is crazy! Just a reminder that we all need to excercise scene safety, it's not something that is included in many fire service programs like it is in EMS.

Tommorow marks 7 years since "Jimmy Boy" left this world, leaving our hearts scarred but teaching us many lessons. Jimmy Boy's spirit is still in my heart, and he was an unbelievable child. And, to this day, his parents work tirelessly while Jimmy Boy looks down from above to turn their tragedy into hope and courage for many other families. Thoughts and prayers are with the Arena family on this difficult day. (If you're new to this forum, or don't know the story about this amazing child, please read the many topics and updates in this forum) http://www.emtbravo.net/index.php/forum/59-james-raymond-arena-condolences-thoughts-and-prayers/
