Price of the vehicle has nothing to do with it. But in relation to price, the fuel consumption is less the an Expedition or Tahoe, saving money on gas. Yonkers PD, County PD as well as numerous other PD's nationwide, use the Charger in brutal conditions, and they hold up for a few years. 43-M-1 is no different.

For the Law Enforcement folks, at what point does free speech become harrasment?

Dodge (well, a lot of manufacturers too) has ducts under the front seat to heat/cool the passengers in the back seat. A duct was extended to reach into the trunk. Also, the trunk is suprisingly well insulated and with Empress being as busy as they are and posting, the car won't be idle for very long. I also heard that the car was designed to bait you into coming back to Empress.

I saw the trunk this morning, and it is HUGE! You can fit two bodies in it easily. It's plenty of room to carry a Paramedic's gear, and the special operations equipment that the SOD Paramedic will be carrying.. This will be carrying a complete set of Paramedic equipment, and meets NYSDOH requirements. And as far as weather, it is all-wheel drive. The size is irrelevant to collisions. With driver training and standards, the comprehensive LED lighting, the Whelen Howler siren, and the completly reflective graffics, all steps have been taken to make sure you know that car is there in traffic. You can never prevent all collisions as they are a part of driving, but I've seen all size and shapes of vehicles involved in MVA's. Crashes don't discriminate. It has all-wheel drive. Which has proven itself, because Dodge will be equipping the 2014 Dodge Charger Police package with AWD due to numerous customer request's

Click here to read the Incident Alert regarding this job Strong work by County PD Officer James Rosselli and Officer Matthew Cohn, who were the first on scene minutes after the initial call and made the rescue. The woman could have very easily drowned. Also props to the Yonkers DPW crew who was nearby and witness the event, and removed the victim from the other vehice, which was also taking on water. Special thanks to the current 307 for sharing the photos! They depict the scene after both patients were transported to the hospital.

Well, this is one way to handle them....except they make a lot of money suing everyone for violating their "civil rights", even if they weren't "violated". I've got to say, the CSP PIO, Lt. J Paul Vance, is a true profesional and very articulate. The way he handles this situation, and the way he conveys information, is top notch. Does the media really need to keep asking everyone "Is this the worst you've ever seen"? The answer, like many of their questions, is obvious. The speculation they are creating is disgusting, and numerous reports of theirs have been proven false. I really cringe that the list of names was released, now the press is going to exploit this information. Why can't they withold that information for a few days? The only thing I am really interested in, along with many others, want to know if why? They also need to leave these poor kids that survived this alone, instead of pounding them for soundbytes.

No, he means the Whelen Howler, just like he typed. Anyways, I really like the Demers ambulance brand. The layouts of the cab and patient module have a very progressive and intergrated layout. Hopefully I'll get the chance to photograph/check out the new buses soon.

Absolutely horrifying. I can't imagine what these parents are going through. I don't think there are words for it. Thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved.

I don't know why a lightweight bracket that is used in ambulances isn't NFPA 9G rated or at least approved. Seems kind of ridiculous. I'm looking through my photos to see if I have anything that may be of help to you.....

This is really a shame. So many districts can get away with so much, because they know people don't care. It only takes a publicized controversy to get people to vote, it seems. And fire districts don't really have to answer to anybody. I don't think moving it to November is the answer, but December is way too busy for many people, and many districts only have voting during the evening hours. Maybe spring would be a better time, but that may not be convenient for commissioner's terms. I see it mentioned by a few different people interviewed in the article that the low voter turnout indicates satisfaction with the fire district. But is ignorance bliss in this case?
