As you can see from this photo in 2006, here is the TL-15 bucket before refurbishment.

Syracuse Former Rescue 1-1997 E-One Cyclone II For Sale. Seems to be in pretty good condition given the city it operated in and it's age. http://www.auctionsinternational.com/servlet/Search.do?auctionId=1231&itemId=9707

For anyone interested in Fireboats, there is a show called "Hydrotech" about all different kinds of water related technology. The most recent episode featured Seattle FD Fireboats and a quest to develop, design, and build new fireboats that will serve the city's diverse water fire suppresion and rescue needs. Very cool show It's on the Smithsonian Channel (SMT). kingsferry, thanks for your insight, as well as to all. I've been to numerous musters over the past 20 years I've been involved in the fire service, including Milford, Kensico, Croton Point, Los Angeles, Texas, and others. I learned a great deal by attending and participating in these events. One of the other reasons that I think killed a lot of musters is the internet. Instead of having swap meets or vendors, Ebay and E-commerce have replaced that. Another main reason is that there tends to be a mentality of why things can't happen, instead of the mentality that it can happen. I think it's very important to preserve the heritage of the fire service. A great deal can be learned about the things that we do and why. The heritage of the fire service, and how "easy" we have it now, can't really be appreciated until you see it. And I want to specifically focus on the heritage of the fire service in the Hudson Valley. There is a lot of talk about tradition and how it is negative, this is one that I think would be a positive. This can happen. There are a lot of obstacles, but there are many ways to overcome them. I'm sure we could get sponsors, as I've already been contacted by a few. And if departments can make parades, car shows, and carnivals happen, then the collective power of the membership of this forum can make it happen. AND, I'd like to include EMS and PD in these events as well. There are a lot of people with vintage EMS and PD vehicles, and we should include them to make this not only a firematic, but an emergency services muster.

This weekend, I had the chance to visit the Washington, DC Fire Museum, located on the third floor of Engine 3. It is an AWESOME museum, and has some very cool items from the past in it's collection. One of the displays they are housing, until it find's a permanent home, is the National Arson Dog Monument sculpture. It is called "Ashes To Answers". I found it to be a very cool tribute to arson dogs and all that they have contributed to fire investigation.

Thanks everyone for the compliments, much appreciated. Emergency Crew (Field Fleet Maintenance), running parts, and other utility type purposes (such as shuttling FDNY vehicles from different areas of the city). Ladder 10, with mural removed and in the process of getting ready to go into the spare pool. If you are referring to the Kenworth in the photo, it is actually a mobile tire service repair truck. Has a lift gate in the back, as well as a variety of tools. Can change or repair tires from the largest vehicles in the fleet right down to the Gators.

It seems to me that there is a recognition day for everything now. Multiple causes have weeks and months to celebrate different things and causes. It's kind of overwhelming and confusing, and dilutes the ideas and outreach. Does anyone else notice this as well?

Please be sure to check out our friend Eli Gill's photos on his site, 10-75.net....it's a site loaded with awesome photos of apparatus and scenes, and more. Below is the link http://www.10-75.net/

The Kenworth Hybrid is the new mobile tire repair truck. Here's an article describing NYC's use of hybrid trucks: http://www.kenworth.com/news/news-releases/2013/february/new-york-city-hybrids.aspx

Mark and Eli, thanks for the compliments. Vinny, Photo Hunts will be coming back, just got to find someone to go with me and drive! For the FDNY guys.....how is the MDT in the back cab used for?

PCFD ENG58, would you be willing to bring your rig? And maybe ask a couple of friends? dc2t, can you bring the Ahrens-Fox? TJK183, could you bring "Old Betsy". Cutty, could you bring BHFD's antique? The list goes on and on....if you can bring an antique from a Westchester, please let me know as soon as possible. Antiques that can flow water are even better! We have to flow water or it's not a muster. As far as affiliating SPAAMFA, do we have a member on this forum that is a member of SPAAMFA that could act as a liaison?. Is the Fairchester Hose Haulers name available for use? Can we revive it, or do we have the right to do so? It would be nice to call it the EMTBravo Fairchester Hose Haulers Muster & Emergency Services Celebration. I'd like to hear from the EMTBravo members suggestions for naming this event. I also need members to look at locations, ideally in central Westchester (with the exception of Croton Point Park). Is there any member good with dealing with the county parks and rec? Or other large parking lots or fields? We have a ton to do. But I'm excited about the potential of this event! With members help, we can make this happen! NOTE: I will be making a forum specifically for this event when I get back from D.C. Monday.

Thanks for the spy shots! Looks like an awesome rig! When is it expected to be delivered and in service?

PEMO, I absolutely want to include all types and I completely agree. EMTBravo is just the name the site started with, and was based with my original AOL address that I had for years. The site grew to where it is today, and as you said, I would never change the name based on a large opposition. One of the mottos of the forum and theme I want to go with is "Work Together.....Win Together" How to incorporate that into a patch, I'm hoping to see some graphic ideas. I don't have the mindset to process that right now.

Will these phones make their way to the fire service? Read more: http://blog.laptopmag.com/caterpillar-b15-rugged-smartphone-headed-to-u-s-for-349?cmpid=514625

I think with all the incidents in the Hudson over the past few years, this Marine unit is a necessity to save lives. I wasn't clear on the question before. Who patrols the Long Island Sound?
-
I think I read that the test was in November...maybe that was just the filing period. I think I remember the test always being held in June though.
-
I kind of like the CAT logo. I can see a big market for this phone with emergency services agencies. I'm going to wait to see if AT&T is going to pick it up, and considering reviews, may trade in my current HTC One X.

Thanks!

If the County parks don't work, does any FD have fairground we could use? Or a town park we could get permission from? If we don't have a drafting body of water, maybe we could use a couple of those portable drafting ponds? I want to make this happen, I'm thinking September or early October may be a good date. Should I organize a comittee of EMTBravo members to get this off the ground?
