Shots are great. Can't wait for them to get here. Long overdue. Squad rig will be in the city on Monday.

The YFD is under a consent decree also. I know its differant for every city but it is in effect in Yonkers. YFD's applies more to the written and getting people qualified to take the physical.

The rigs just have to pump tested and than they can be delivered. Lettering and radios are all done. I believe the Squad rig will have just "SQ 11" on the grill.

I think it's about time. It's insane the amount of wasteful spending there is on the island.

Enough about what? No one is saying negative in this forum, so why the attitude?

"So dog, not starting the paid vs. vollie thing, but do you concider vols who get a tax break are scabs too??????" I believe these guys are scabs. The only thing a vollie shoud recieve is the satisfaction of helping the community. Anyway you look at it, once you recieve incentives of any kind, you are no longer a volunteer. You are just poorly paid.

In responce to Jybehofd's comment about vollie's spending time in traffic mid-day, that only further enhances the arguement of going to paid members. Instead of wasting ten minutes to get to the firehouse, that time is utilized getting to the scene. Whether paid or vollie, the most important thing is getting to the scene as fast as possible.
