If you are insinuating that we the staff of this forum, are allowing post(while some are harsh in nature, raise questions that others find hard to answer, or don't like the answer) you are wrong. There are a lot of behind the scenes work, some of which we choose not to say, because it would hamper our duties as staff. There have been real constructive post on here, which is why this site is here. I would suggest taking a moment, to put your self in the other member(s) shoes you are all referring to and see where they are coming from. We as staff try very hard to maintain this site, but we can't be everywhere at once. If you feel that there is a post that is in violation of the forum rules, please take a minute to press the "report" button. And tell us, instead of wining about and not doing anything about.

Each of these events, whether a small or large amount of people, is a great time.. And from the members who did attend these kind of events had a great time.. I hope to see people there...

I have to say, as a resident of New Rochelle, and being I had a fire at my house.. I am very dishearten at the fact, the city officials have not, and will not choose to look for another situation.. I hope they don't cut E-24, just for the sure fact, they were first on scene at my fire.. I am scared to think what would of happened if 24 was gone at that time.. It would of went to 2nd or 3rd alarm no problem, given how close the houses are together on my street... To each and every one of the NRFD members on this forum, and everywhere... I wish you all the best... I hope the city sees the error of this horrible decision, and finds another way to make this budget to work.... May god bless each and everyone of you, and your families... Here's to a happy and health New Year..

With the recent topic of Transcare taking over a unionized EMS Companies (Empress EMS) 911 contract. I would like to see what every ones thoughts are. I know that the IAEP R-20 Local (Yonkers) has saved a lot of jobs in the past, and has given employees the voice, and fearlessness to question things they don't like at Empress, but a union is only as strong as it's people in it. So my question is this. Do you think having EMS unionized helps improve the quality, and safety of it's employees, or do you think it's just a game of roll the dice with management?

I have to say with all the Facebook group that our out there. Yankees fans this, and "Lets make this the biggest facebook group ever" that. I came across this one, That I think is truly touching, and moving. I feel is it a sad but moving tribute to our fallen heroes. The brave men and women who serve our country, and sadly don't get much in return. Also it is especially moving to me because of a few thing. I have been recently bless, with good friends, from all over the county mainly because of EMTBravo. Because of them I now have Habitat for Humanity at my house helping me ( Lohud link to my story, (Habitat for Humanity Link), and my family out with home renovations. Due to a recent family down fall ( both my parents getting sick, and sadly becoming disable.) My brother, and my self have had to pick up the slack. Recently a group of West Point Cadets came to my house to help us out. Hence why this tribute is important to me. I would suggest, anyone with a facebook account So Thank you to you all for your help and support, and god bless all the armed forces and god bless America Here is the link for the Project Red Shirt

Does PVAC have sleeping quarters? I would think that, having members staying at the VAC, would greatly reduce those times. Also with the exception of the new fly car you guys just got. Does PVAC allow it's members to respond to the scene? In Mamaroneck Village, We have the paid paramedic supplied by the Town of Mamaroneck Ambulance District, in house 24/7. So we are almost out the door in two minutes. The volunteers are ether in house or, respond from home. We also have a duty roster in 6hr interval. Where there is almost always a driver/EMT or EMT on shift. I have to say it works out great. With one paid EMT also provided by the district, who also covers MEMS ,and LVAC during the day time hours, but when both agencies are well covered. He has other duties given by the district. Our average response time is just about 8 mins, from time of tone out from our local PD/60-Control, to at the residences house.

Bottom line, LOCK YOUR DOORS people.... Its not hard to do,
-

RIP, Officers Owens,Griswold, Richards, and Sgt. Renninger, Thank you for the service you all provided..
-
Goose what are some "issues" as you see it,in ether the state or federal level, That need to be change?
-
A-1 is dispatched by Empress central, same as every other unit. Also Empress does the EMD for the city now, full time from my understanding. PD stays on the line for information reasons. This truly is a sad day for Empress Ambulance, and unionized EMS companies.

most likey, and they are sposed to be suppyling, two ambulances unknow if true or not..... I'm sure someone from TC can talk about it..
-
What, no one is going to do... "I like golddddd" joke... I think this is a sad and excues the pun's "ugly" way for the state to make money...
