Wow!! The City is in a lot of trouble if EMS goes on strike, but on the other hand we are the most underpaid and unappreciated job in the state of New York. So even though it is very very worng to leave these people in real danger. What are some other ways the people can listen to us.
-
Well it's offical at 0717 Hrs. There will be a series of strikes in New York City transit systems. There are alot of talks that it will happen maybe later today or tommorow for the morning rush hour traffic, but they don't have a set time on when it will happen.

You are correct sir. There are only trying to strike two bus companies in Queens and Long Island I think, but I think it's a matter of time before Roger Toussaint tells us it's going to be a full out strike. I think he's a horrible leader. I mean look at what he did when the Beeline buses went on strike. The county lost alot of money because of his leadership, but again that's my opinon.

Before I say anything . I personally want my EMS department to go to 60. Now my Dilemma is that I need some interesting facts Why it is good to go to 60. Now I know that we would automatically get mutual aid. Plus automatic dispatch to I95 incidents. Now I also said that 60 is a lot more organize (i.e. dispatch times when ever you request it.) What I want to know is what else is there that I can use to persuade my higher her ups to go to 60?

OK here the thing. WE all know that FDNY is the NEW YORKS BRAVEST =D> =D> =D> which is true there are, and we all know NYPD is NEW YORKS FINEST =D> =D> =D> which is all so true, but what about NEW YORKS EMS when ever someone talks about a firefighter or a police officer they are always called as either THE BRAVEST or THE FINEST what about EMS. well it either ambulace driver or my personal favorte mister can you look at cut on my finger lol... but for real even NEW YORKS teach have there own catch phrase NEW YORKS BRIGHTEST. I would like to here from you guys on what would be a good catch phrase for EMS in genaral. i was thinking some like NEW YORKS HUMBLE because we deal with town drunk at 0330 :yikes: you know the one that spits at you because you are trying to pull he's pants up or your working a code and the family see's you there and your trying to help console them once the person been down for 30mins. and they are curseing you out tell you to go back there and help them. so i would like to hear what you guys have to said lets hear some good catch phrases

Are Pre Arrival Instructions a New thing to Westchester County? Like For Example: When I was just a Baby I went into respiratory arrest. It was cause by me having phlem cought in my thoat. When I ask my Mom if I if the people on the other line gave Pre Arrival Instructions (i.e. CPR, Hemlich, or even Hemmorage Control) she said no. Keep in mind this happen in 1986 So things have had to change by now. I'm just wondering how long it has been in place for.
