Pleasant Valley man killed in car accident

PLEASANT VALLEY — A 21-year-old Pleasant Valley man was killed in a car accident Friday night.

Paul Grube was traveling northbound in a 2002 Subaru Impreza on Creek Road near Creekside Place when he lost control of his car at about 9:25 p.m., reported the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.

After losing control, the car left the roadway and struck a car that was parked in a driveway and a tree, ejecting Grube from the car.

Grube, who died at the scene, was the sole occupant of the car.

The accident is still under investigation by the sheriff’s Crash Investigation Unit, and further details will be provided as they become available.

The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by state police and the Pleasant Valley Fire Department.
