Taconic southbound lanes closed after accident

PLEASANT VALLEY — Police and paramedics have responded to a two-car injury accident on the Taconic State Parkway southbound near Rossway Road.

The accident was reported at 8:20 a.m. and paramedics requested additional help at about 8:30 a.m. Commuters should approach the area with caution because of the large number of emergency vehicles.

UPDATE: 8:37 a.m. Police have closed down the Taconic's southbound lanes in the area of the crash, just south of Rossway Road.

At least one person has been extricated from their car by firefighers.

Taconic lanes reopened

he southbound lanes of the Taconic State Parkway have been reopened after an accident earlier this morning. Police remain on the scene of the crash, near Rossway Road, as they conduct an accident investigation.
