Hey just to update you guy’s im a LT at Halsted Manor in Mamaroneck village. The Fire was just about knocked down at about 6:40. E-39 was then called to the scene to help overhaul at about 07:20, and E-62(i think that was the engine) from Port Chester took our place at Rye HQ. L-20 was also called to the scene to help overhaul at about 08:00.

Also on a side note they pulled 2 bodies out of the house at around 09:30. From what I heard is they were gone before FD got to the scene , but im sure News 12 will have more on this later today.

From WNBC.COM:

RYE, N.Y. -- An elderly couple was killed Tuesday morning by a fire that gutted their two-story home in the Westchester community of Rye.

Rye police say the fire was reported at 5 a.m. on Mayfield Street.

Firefighters arriving just before dawn say the flames were very heavy on the first floor, making it impossible to get inside.

One body was found in the kitchen and the other was found in an upstairs bedroom.

The victims were a couple in their 80s; however, their names were not immediately released.

About 100 firefighters from Rye and neighboring departments were at the scene.

The cause of the fire was under investigation but it did not appear to be suspicious.
