I believe you are correct. I also seem to recall that Bedford Hills Correctional uses the old Bedford Hills Engine 197. I could be wrong.

Bedford Hills Correctional does have the old BHFD E197 but it is listed in WCDES as Engine 234. That is in addition to the utility I mentioned above.

The "SIS" insignia is for Sing-Sing. Each facility has a three letter designation affixed to all assigned apparatus and vehicles.

Yes the three letter and number designation came about several years ago. The DOC Commissioner was passed by a transport vehicle at a very high rate of speed. That was unacceptable in his eyes. As with any other state agency they have many similar vehicles, so in order to determine which vehicle was speeding past him, he had all vehicles labeled in this fashion.
